It’s funny how life works. It seems like just yesterday we were all watching Pistola out BR Ninja on Station 9, or watch as Ambush dismantles Warriors in the Grand Finals and get payback for MLG Dallas. Time flies right? Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t. Either way, it’s time for another AGL event. AGL New Jersey will be the second event of 2013, with Ambush defeating Warriors at Chicago in what was a great event. This event will be a bit different than past AGLs. Think of the MLG Doritos Combines from 2010, where amateur teams competed and earned a sponsored trip to a future event. AGL New Jersey will work very similar to this. The team that takes first place will win a sponsored trip to AGL Nashville, which takes place on the weekend of April 12-14.
Here are all the links you need to be up to date on AGL New Jersey:
You will also be able to find the brackets for the weekend as well as the stats of all the players and how they do throughout the event. The tournament will be streamed all weekend long, starting on Saturday at 9:30 am EST with the pregame show (weekend schedule available on the AGL homepage).
This will definitely be an interesting event. Some top amateur players will be playing at this tournament, and will create some interesting story lines going into AGL Nashville next month. How will the teams doing well this weekend compare to some of the top talent heading in Nashville? Will the winning team from New Jersey compete for a top spot at Nashville? Only time will tell. It’s going to be a great weekend of Halo, you won’t want to miss it!
