In 2011, competitive Halo began to see a decline in online activity across the board, ranging from Xbox Live activity to online forum presence to competitor numbers at major gaming events. The Halo community was under a lot of pressure to keep their beloved game alive. The Halo community at-large cited the lack of content production in comparison to other larger gaming communities, and a push for content-creation began.
Thus, The Halo Council was born. The show was hosted by multiple figureheads from within the Halo community and talked about anything and everything related to the competitive side of the game. The show garnered a massive following and became widely popular in a short amount of time; though it seemed the show just wouldn’t be enough to satisfy the community’s need for content. Just like that The Halo Council website was born.
The Halo Council now serves as a premier online destination for the latest Halo news, discussions and as a home for both competitive and casual players.
Going into the future we are looking to keep expanding and growing, improving our productions, and providing more original content. We are aiming for bigger and better things as the future goes on, our ambition is unparallelled, the sky is the limit.
